The DeSoto will allow one dog up to 35 pounds per standard guest room with a $150 cleaning fee. To read our pet policy, please click here.
The DeSoto is a non-smoking hotel. Smoking is prohibited anywhere on the hotel property, including but not limited to rooms, balconies, patios, and/or pool deck. Guests caught smoking on hotel property will be charged an additional cleaning fee.
We have 246 rooms, including suites, king rooms, and standard rooms. Some rooms also have balconies.
Our pool is located outdoors on the second floor near the fitness center. Hours are from 5 am to 10 pm daily. The pool is unattended, and a room key is required for access.
Restaurants & Dining
Proof & Provision, is a restaurant and full-service craft bar that serves modern Southern-inspired gastropub fare including small plates, sandwiches, and snacks. Proof & Provision offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is open from 6:30 am to midnight daily. Food service ends at 10 pm.
1540 Room is a chef-inspired dining experience that offers hyper fresh ingredients from local farmers. 1540 offers all the Southern dishes you’re craving in a new and inventive way.
Buffalo Bayou Coffee offers light bites, sandwiches, pastries, salads, & soups in addition to a wide variety of coffee and espresso varietals sourced locally.
In-Room dining is temporarily unavailable
A credit card is required at check-in for all reservations and a deposit of $50.00 per day will be held to guarantee incidental charges. This is required for all reservations regardless of how they were booked. Guests must be 21 years or older to check into a room.
Refrigerators & Microwaves
Refrigerators are included in all of our suites and corner king rooms and available upon request in other room types (subject to availability and fees). Microwaves are included in all of our suites and corner king rooms as well, but they are not available in any other room type.
A credit card is required to guarantee a reservation at The DeSoto. If an Advance Purchase Rate is booked, a full non-refundable deposit is required at time of bookings. Deposit policies vary for special events and/or group bookings.
Our standard cancellation policy is 24 hours in advance, but it can vary depending on the specifics of your reservation. Please check the confirmation email you received upon making your reservation for the cancellation policy that pertains specifically to your stay. Cancellation policies for group guests are outlined in the group contract. Late cancellations, as determined by the standard that pertains specifically to your reservation, will be charged a fee of one night’s room and tax.
The DeSoto only offers valet parking; no self-parking options are available. The cost of valet parking is $40 per night. Garage clearance is for vehicles 6’2″ or under including cases or racks.

Our state-of-the-art Fitness Center is located on the second floor near the pool. It is available to guests from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily using your room key.
